  1. We had a wonderful dinner at a restaurant called Oroskova, close to our hotel. Afterwards, they brought a bottle and shot glasses, which I assumed was ouzo. I mentioned ouzo, the waiter left and we downed the quaff. It wasn’t ouzo, but delivered the same effect. Then the waiter returned with 3 more shot glasses and a bottle of ouzo, which we were obliged to knock back in the interest of creating accord between our two countries. Because I’d also had a half liter of wine with dinner, I slept well that night,

    This stadium is from the 1896 Olympics, the first (modern) Olympics. Julie and Chery thought they might climb to the top or run the track, but thought better of it.

    • I’ve been having a great time but wish you were with us! We’ve done a lot of walking but have also taken our fair share of taxi’s, hired drivers and slow, lingering strolls. I miss you!
